About Us

Lotus Visual Productions is a UK-based film production and promotion company working across India, the United Kingdom, and North America, focused on globally resonant stories from South Asia and underrepresented communities.

The company develops and produces narrative features, shorts, documentaries, and emerging media projects with a strong emphasis on original voices, international co-production, and global audience engagement.

Our work has screened at leading international festivals and platforms including Sundance, SXSW, SXSW London, New Directors/New Films, London Film Festival, and major queer and independent film festivals worldwide. Recent productions include the Sundance 2025 World Cinema Dramatic Grand Jury Prize winner CACTUS PEARS (SABAR BONDA), directed by Rohan Kanawade.

Beyond production, Lotus Visual Productions actively supports emerging filmmakers through grants, mentorship initiatives, curated screenings, and industry collaborations. Since 2016, the company has partnered with KASHISH Arts Foundation on the QDrishti Film Grant, supporting new LGBTQ+ filmmakers in India through funding and mentorship.

The company also collaborates with film festivals, cultural organisations, and industry platforms to champion independent South Asian and queer cinema internationally through theatrical screenings, festival strategy, and audience outreach initiatives.

At its core, Lotus Visual Productions believes in cinema as a space for empathy, dialogue, and cultural bridge-building. We are committed to supporting bold cinematic voices and stories that challenge conventions while connecting with audiences across borders.
